Smart Server Monitoring - Getting Started

Getting started is easy...

	Before we proceed, we need to confirm that your servers fit into our standard monitoring configuration profile. You can request a log in to the control panel and see for yourself which operating systems and server processes are monitored as standard, if you require a bespoke service which falls out side of this standard, then simply contact support as below, when we can advise you regarding a bespoke build.
	When you have been issued with a login to the Account Conrol Panel within this website you can enter your server details (this is free of charge and with no obligation). From here we will be able to configure your build profile and you can begin the process of having your servers monitored by SMART... (Should you require assistance in this process - please call support during normal office hours on 0844 858 4662 )
	When you request a logon to the control panel, we will send you an introductory Email, this provides you with an Trial Account and password. You then simply log in any time later and follow the sequence below: .... First you define those people who will be receiving ALERTS from the SMART system, we need their Email address and mobile number (if they are due to receive VOICE alerts). Then you enter some simple details for each of the servers you require to be monitored ... Next step is to review the 'Alert Matrix' (we have set defaults for typical alert patterns) to define who get which alerts. when you are happy, simply click 'Submit', and then we do our bit .... we will configure your details into the web monitoring platform, and send you an Email inviting you to download the client code for each server. Once we 'see' your server come on-line, we will Email you confirming SMART is live and working ok
